Trade exchange with African countries grew by almost 9.5%, from $1.05 billion during the first four months of 2018 to $1.15 billion during the same period in 2019.
In spite of this increase, the value of trade exchange between Algeria and African countries including the Arab Maghreb Union (UMA), and Egypt remains “low”, at 5.42% of Algeria’s total value of exports and 2.86 of its imports.
Within the first four months of 2019, African countries bought from Algeria goods worth $722.5 million up from $700.81 million during the same period in 2018, hence registering an increase of close to 3.1%.
From this region, Algeria imported goods worth $433.8 million during the first four months of 2019, up from $373.33 million during the same period in 2018, making an increase of 16.20%.
