The 18th session of the International Pharmacy Forum held on May from 14 to 16th in Algiers : Towards an African Medicines Agency.
The 18th session of the International Pharmacy Forum will be held on May from 14 to 16th in Algiers, with the participation of 3,000 health and pharmaceutical professionals representing several countries from the world, announced the National Council of Pharmacists’ Syndicate, one of the organizers of the forum.
The conference will be organized by the two African bodies of the joint trade unions IOPA and ISPHARMA, as well as the Central Pharmacy Association for the Purchase of Essential Medicines (ACAME), the head of the Pharmacists’ Ethics Council in the capital, Abdelkarim Touahir said.
About 1,500 of the 3,000 health and pharmaceutical industry professionals are expected to attend this meeting to discuss two key themes: “Improving the governance of the African and global pharmacy world”, “Developing the African pharmaceutical industry and international cooperation”. On the sidelines of this discussion, issues related to professional ethics, regulatory laws and qualifications related to the profession, as well as biomedical research and good pharmaceutical practices will be addressed.
