The President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, sent a message of condolences, on 12th April, to the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, H.E Abdelaziz Bouteflika, following the military aircraft accident that occurred on the 11th April at Boufarik military airbase claiming the lives of 257 victims.

Hon. Dr Philemon Mateke, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (Regional Co-operation), Hon. Henry Oryem Okello (MP), Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (International Affairs) and M. Martin Okoth Ochola, Inspector General of Police, who was accompanied by M. Edward Ochom, Director for Research, Planning and Development, also turned up at the Embassy to sign the condolence book.
