MESSAHEL at International Tokyo Conference on African Development Summit held in Nairobi.
Minister of Maghreb Affairs, African Union and the Arab League Abdelkader Messahel represented the President of the Republic, Abdelaziz BOUTEFLIKA at the 6th International Tokyo Conference on African Development Summit (TICAD VI) scheduled on 27 and 28 August, in Nairobi (Kenya).
This summit’s theme is “Advancing the agenda of Africa’s Sustainable development: TICAD, partnership for prosperity.”
In addition to the review of the progress made in the implementation of the “Yokohama Action Plan”, adopted in the TIVAD V in 2013, the discussions will focus on themes of industrialization, health and social stability.
The Nairobi Summit takes place as Africa, under the double impetus of the NEPAD and the African Union’s 2063 Agenda strives to create the necessary conditions for its development thanks to a better cooperation with its various partners.
Furthermore, MESSAHEL also represented the President of the Republic at the 25th Summit of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) held on 26 August in the Kenyan capital.
On side lines of the conference, President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, received in audience Minister Messahel who was carrying a special message sent by Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
