Increase of 9.5% in Algeria’s trade exchange with African countries
Four first months 2019
The trade exchange with African countries grew by almost 9.5%, from $1.05 billion during the first four months of 2018 to $1.15 billion during the same period in 2019.
The value of trade exchange between Algeria and African countries including the Arab Maghreb Union (UMA), and Egypt remains “low”, at 5.42% of Algeria’s total value of exports and 2.86 of its imports.
Within the first four months of 2019, African countries bought from Algeria goods worth $722.5 million up from $700.81 million during the same period in 2018, hence registering an increase of close to 3.1%.
From this region, Algeria imported goods worth $433.8 million during the first four months of 2019, up from $373.33 million during the same period in 2018, making an increase of 16.20%.
